Amazon Teacher Gift Idea with Gift Card Holder

I have always admired teachers. And after all they’ve done for students during the craziness of the past few years, I am even more grateful to them than ever!

Teachers work so hard and invest a ton of time, effort, care, and even their own money into our kids. So when Christmas or Teacher Appreciation Week rolls around, I want to make sure we’re showing them just how much they mean to us.

After years of giving teacher gifts, the ones they always seemed to appreciate most were the ones that came from the heart. So we decided to combine a gift everyone loves– an Amazon gift card– with a little personal touch to help encourage those teachers who work so hard!

Step 1- Gather the supplies.

This is a really simple project. You probably already have most of the supplies you need at your house!

Supplies you’ll need…

Step 2- Download and print the free printables!

You can download the printable by clicking on the button below. Two copies print on each standard 8.5″ x 11″ sheet.

We recommend printing on white card stock for a little extra sturdiness. But if you only have standard paper on hand, that totally works too!

(We also have Target, Starbucks, and general gift card versions of this printable if you’re looking to use a different type of gift card!)

Step 3- Cut out the teacher Christmas gifts printables.

Once you’ve printed the printable, you’ll need to cut out the individual cards since there are two per sheet.

I like to use a paper trimmer to get nice, straight lines when I cut out the printable, but you can also use scissors if that’s easier for you.

Step 4- Have your student fill out the printable for a personalized teacher gift.

Your student can write their teacher’s name on the line at the top. Then they can fill in five things they love about their teacher! Finally, they sign their own name at the bottom of the printable.

If your student could use a little help coming up with things to say, here are some ideas to get them started:

  • She makes learning fun.
  • He is always willing to help.
  • She plans the best activities.
  • He takes time to get to know his students.
  • She is very creative.
  • He makes me laugh.
  • She knows how to make tough concepts easy to understand.
  • I always feel welcome in his classroom.
  • She is very patient.
  • He knows how to make projects interesting and exciting.
  • She is very smart and passes on her knowledge to us.
  • You can tell that he cares that we’re actually learning.
  • She pushes us to do our best.
  • He has high expectations, which makes us want to work hard in his classroom.
  • Her love for her subject area is infectious.
  • He is a good listener.
  • She works so hard at her job.
  • He helps each of us learn in a way that makes sense to us.

Whatever the student enjoys most about the teacher, they can write it on the five lines provided!

Step 5- Attach the Amazon gift card.

Attach the Amazon gift card in the designated spot with tape or glue dots, and you’re ready to go!

Amazon Teacher Gifts: Frequently Asked Questions

The very best gift you can give a teacher is encouragement. Teachers aren’t told often enough that they’re doing a great job, so positively affirming their hard work can really go a long way!

Throwing in a gift card can always be a nice bonus, too! If you’re looking for a way to combine the two, feel free to snag the printables for Amazon, Target, Starbucks, or the general gift card printable that we shared in the post above.

  1. Click on the big button in the post above to download the printable. It will open in a new tab.
  2. Click the “print” button, often in the upper right corner of the screen.
  3. Double check the print settings and make sure the correct printer is selected. Hit “print.”
  4. Enjoy your simple, meaningful teacher appreciation printables!

There is no set amount to spend on a teacher gift. If your child simply wants to write them a heartfelt note, that would be incredibly meaningful and appreciated.

If you’re looking for a defined amount, $20-30 could be a good range, though that could certainly go up or down depending on your budget, how many teachers you’re buying for, etc.
