Whew! What a crazy few weeks this has been! The events that have been happening around the world feel like they should be taking place in a movie rather than real life– it’s kind of surreal to me.

[If you are reading this at a later date, this post was published as we were in the midst of the coronavirus / COVID-19 pandemic. Much of the world is quarantined or practicing social distancing, keeping mostly to our homes and trying to limit social interactions to prevent the spread of the virus.]

As more and more information has been coming out about the virus and many of us are hunkering down in our homes for the most part, I’ve been trying to think of ways that I can use my little corner of the internet to help in some way.

Over the past few days, I’ve had friends and readers reach out asking for organizing resources, planning to use the extra time at home to clear some of the clutter and get organized. So I thought I’d put together a simple two-week organizing plan printable to give some basic direction.

The plan is super simple, with just one category or area to organize per day. You can do as much or as little organizing in that category as you’d like on the designated day.

For example, on day 1 when the prompt is “clothes,” you can simply look through one drawer and discard anything you no longer wear or love. Or you could do a major overhaul, taking everything out of your closets and drawers and weeding through it all.

On day 3 when the prompt is paper, you can simply clear the paper clutter from any flat surfaces and sort through it. Or you can take a deep dive into your file cabinet and set up a new digital or physical paper system.

Organize for 15 minutes or devote a few hours to the task– it’s up to you. Every little bit counts!
