Crushing On: Gold Polka Dots
It seems I’ve caught a bit of the glam bug lately. Ever since I created my gold cake stand organizer and glam fall wreath, I just can’t seem to get enough of metallics, jewels, sparkle, and shine! I know I’m not alone. It doesn’t take much perusing around blogland to find hints of gold, and one trend that I particularly love is the gold polka dots I’m seeing anywhere and everywhere! I thought you might enjoy them too, so I’ve rounded up 15 of my favorite gold polka dot projects from around the blogosphere.
One of the first projects that got me exited about gold polka dots was the polka-dotted ceiling Carmel created in her daughter’s room over at Our Fifth House.
Not only do they look great on ceilings, but they’re fabulous on walls as well.
Deme gave her office closet a touch of glamour over at House for Five.
And I love how Megan’s dots look like they’re falling down the wall at The Homes I Have Made.
Courtney of A Thoughtful Place even created some faux gold polka dot wallpaper to dress up a linen cabinet.
But it’s not all walls and ceilings! Gold polka dots are being used to prettify smaller decor items as well. Flowers are taken to a whole new level of gorgeous when placed in gold dotted vases…

Really, bloggers are looking for any excuse to add a little gold dot love to their home!
Cheryl of My Cup Runneth Over gets into the action with a gold dot and monogrammed mug. {Gold dots AND a monogram?! I think I just died and went to heaven! ;)}
And Cheryl’s mug would look so pretty sitting atop Jeran’s gold dot burlap coasters over at Oleander and Palm.
I am determined to create my own version of this lovely gold dot art from Brunch at Saks.

I see more and more gold dots popping up everywhere. I’m not a fan of gold, but those dots are all done in a way I can handle. I love little pops of color like that!

So many great projects! I love those little burlap coasters. What a nifty idea! I saw that metallic dot burlap at JoAnn but didn’t get it…now I want it! And now I want to make coasters with my leftover burlap from my recent cork board project…Oh the wheels are turning!
