For the longest time I lived without a cutting machine, and I survived. I spent WAY too long cutting out materials by hand and did things the hard way far too often, but I made it. Then for Valentine’s Day this year, my super amazing hubby gave me the best gift ever: my Silhouette Cameo! I was so excited and could not wait to put it to work. It certainly did not disappoint– I LOVE this thing! I thought it would be fun to take a little trip down Silhouette memory lane visit my top 10 favorite projects I’ve done with my favorite crafting tool so far. {And be sure to read through to the end for a special announcement!} Here we go!

My Top 10 Silhouette Projects

10. Inexpensive Frame Fillers

I love to decorate seasonally, but I don’t love to spend a lot of money to do it! To create some free seasonal decor, I use plain card stock and my Silhouette to make simple framed art for all seasons!

9. Super Simple Drink Tags

It’s all about presentation when it comes to party decor, right? I used the sketch pen feature of my Silhouette to create these adorable drink tags, and I love the way they turned out!

8. Custom Signage

I had always admired the beautifully lettered signs that other bloggers used in their decor, but I was too intimidated to try one myself. Once I had my Silhouette to help, though, it became SO easy! I just had the machine cut my lettering, I placed it on the board, painted over it, and peeled it up, and I had my very own custom sign!

7. Paper Flowers Galore!

I kind of had a “thing” for rolled flowers even when I was cutting them out by hand; once my Silhouette was doing the cutting for me, I became obsessed! Paper flowers everywhere, I say!

6. Stenciled Storage

How fun it it to take a plain white box and turn it into something amazing?! With a few Sharpies and a stencil created by my Silhouette, this little box went from drab to fab– such a simple project, but it made a huge difference!

5. Labels Everywhere!

We all know I was a bit label-obsessed anyway, but getting my Silhouette kicked my obsession up another notch! Nearly every vessel in my Fabulously Feminine Home Office received a sweet little vinyl label, courtesy of my Cameo!

I don’t know about you, but in my house, the pantry is one of the most challenging places to keep organized! More vinyl Silhouette labels fixed that problem right up, and my pantry has never looked better!

2. Fabulous No-Sew Pillows

It’s no secret that I choose not sewing over sewing any day of the week, so I used an inexpensive IKEA pillow cover + heat transfer vinyl cut by my Silhouette to create these awesome pillows without sewing one stitch!

1. Freshened Up Furniture

My very favorite Silhouette project that I’ve done so far was actually the very first one I tried! I had an old, worn out chair that I wanted to bring back to life, and some paint + a stencil cut by my Cameo ended up being the perfect way to do it!
