It’s that magical time of year again! No, I’m not talking about Christmas– that just happened. I’m talking about the Super Bowl!

The face paint comes out, people start yelling frantically at their TVs like it’s going to make a difference, and all of the stores are loaded up with extra drinks, snacks, and apparel to help fans cheer their teams to victory.

Sadly, our beloved Steelers did not make the playoffs this year let alone the big game. But I still wanted to make sure our Super Bowl party was an awesome event, so I set out to find a few fun party games we could play to add some intensity and excitement at our house.

8 Simple and Fun Super Bowl Party Game Ideas

1. Commercials Bingo

We all know that the most important part of the Super Bowl is the commercials, right?! (Oh wait, I think there might be some sort of game that happens too…) So I created a Commercials Bingo card to make watching all of those creative commercials even more fun.

Each guest at our Super Bowl party will pick up a blank bingo card and a marker and fill in each of the squares on their card with a type of ad they think they’ll see during the game.

For an easier version of the game, fill in categories of commercials like “chips,” “fast food restaurants,” or “pick up trucks.” To make the game a little more challenging, you could even use specific name brands.

Then, as each type of commercial plays, just cross it off on your card; the first person with a Bingo wins! Want to play? Download the free printable here:

2. Football Ring Toss

Grab this hilarious football ring toss set and get ready to have a blast. Blow up the pieces and choose the bravest person to wear the goal post hat. Everyone else can take turns throwing to rings to see who scores the most points!

Make your next football party oh-so-memorable with this inflatable football ring toss set!

3. Fun Football Food Competition

This would be a great game to play at halftime. I used small Rubbermaid containers to create little kits with common Super Bowl party snacks.

At the party, guests will be broken up into teams, and each team will receive an identical kit. Their assignment will be to use the food provided to create a fun Super Bowl-themed snack. Give everyone a time limit and set the teams to work. When time is up, everyone can vote for the winning creation.

I whipped up a couple examples to give you some ideas…

In case you can’t tell what my “artwork” is supposed to be, I used the beef jerky sticks to create a goal post, used the Combos as the players, created a football with the chocolate from the Snickers bar, and used peanuts to create the fans. (Also known as the “peanut gallery”… ha!)

I also created a “halftime show” with Combos spotlights, a beef jerky stage, a peanut crowd and rock stars with Snickers instruments. The Rubbermaid containers were perfect for holding my little scenes!

4. Super Bowl Guessing Game

This is a fun game from Britni at Play Party Plan. She provides a big list of questions for everyone to guess the answers to before the game starts.

As the game is happening, someone will keep track of the correct answers to all of the questions as the occur. At the end of the game, everyone tallies up their score to see who was the big winner! You can snag her cute printables here.

5. Rate the Commercials

Create your own signs by printing out cards (or just writing on squares of paper) with numbers 1-5. Glue each card onto a popsicle stick. When the Super Bowl commercials are rolling, give each one a score. Keep track of your favorites and see which one comes out on top!

6. Football Charades

This is a cute idea from Kara at The Joys of Boys. Download her football charades printable and cut out the individual strips. Fold them up and put them in a bowl. Each person takes a turn choosing a slip and acting out the football word on the piece of paper. Everyone will be cracking up by the end of the game!

7. Mini Football Cornhole

This is an adorable idea from Angie at The Country Chic Cottage. She snagged some mini cornhole boards from Amazon, painted them to look like football fields, and created little footballs out of felt.

This game idea is perfect for the kids to play in the house while the adults watch the Super Bowl. Get the full tutorial for creating the mini cornhole game here.

8. Super Bowl Word Scramble

Create your own printables where football related words are scrambled and guests have to figure them out. For adults, set a timer and see who finishes the fastest!

Here are a few word ideas to include, but don’t forget to scramble them!

  • Referee
  • Football
  • Touchdown
  • Players
  • Fumble
  • First Down
  • The team names
  • Quarterback
  • Half time
  • Penalty
  • Flag
  • Coin toss
  • Field Goal
  • Mascot
  • Linemen
  • Safety
  • Interception
  • Coach
  • Offense
  • Defense

You could add the names of our favorite team(s) and players as well!
