I was recently honored to take part in the Be BOLD Challenge issued by the creative and amazing Carrie of Lovely Etc. Carrie challenged us to step outside of our comfort zones to complete a project that was truly BOLD. The 11 hosts came up with some pretty amazing projects, but we wanted to take the challenge a step further.
DIY Drum Pendant from The Blissful Bee | Dresser to TV Stand Transformation from Just a Girl and Her Blog | Herringbone Stenciled Wall from Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body | DIY Plank Wallfrom Lovely Etc. | Industrial Pipe Built-Ins from Primitive and Proper | Split Photo Wall Art from House by Hoff | Dyed Wingback Chair from Naptime DIY | West Elm Wood Tile-Inspired Bedside Table from May Richer Fuller Be | Flag Dresser Transformation from The Happy Housie | Colorful and Eclectic Master Bedroom from 52 Mantels | DIY Felt Banner from The Wood Grain Cottage
We then invited everyone to join in the fun and link up their own BOLD projects. There were SO many gorgeous posts linked up-- y'all are truly talented! I picked out a few of my very favorites, and I hope you love them as much as I do!
This kitchen from Vintage Prairie Style absolutely blew me away! My own kitchen needs a lot of work, and she totally inspired me to get going on it ASAP!
Again, I was completely floored by this closet area transformation by Cuckoo 4 Design. Hello, drama!! Her willingness to go bold really paid off and gave her a truly stunning space!
I've decided that I just want to move in to this dining room over at Dimples and Tangles. I LOVE the way she changed out the fabric backing of these chairs to make such a gorgeous statement!
Our Home Notebook BUILT her own bed frame and headboard with her husband-- so talented! I love the style she chose and the weathered look of her project.
How adorable is this raindrop accent wall from His and Hers?! I love the pops of color and how it coordinates perfectly with the beautiful chandlier. Lucky baby!
Migonis Home transformed an old dresser into a breathtaking statement piece using a stain-over-paint technique. Be sure to pop over and see the incredible before and after!
And finally, Home, Heart, and Hands gave new life to an old chair with some paint, fabric, and meticulously installed nail-head trim. I'd definitely say all of her hard work was worth it for this gorgeous result!
Thank you to everyone who went outside their comfort zone to create a BOLD project-- I'm so glad you shared them with us! I think this challenge just goes to show that going BIG can reap some pretty amazing rewards! I know I'm going to challenge myself to be bold more often!
