10 Beautiful Room Makeovers {Life on Virginia Street}

Hey, friends! I am excited to have my friend Sarah from Life on Virginia Street here today to share 10 beautiful room makeovers she has completed recently. I remember the very first time I stumbled across Sarah’s blog was over a year ago when she shared her gorgeous entryway. I immediately fell in love with her style and probably spent a good hour that day perusing her home tours and past projects. We became friends soon after, and not only have I enjoyed getting to know her online for the past year or so, but I also was thrilled to be able to meet Sarah in person when we went to the Haven conference earlier this month, and let me tell you: she is just as sweet in person as she is on her blog!

Hello Just a Girl and Her Blog readers! I’m Sarah from Life On Virginia Street and I’m so happy to be here as a guest blogger today. Abby is one of the first bloggers that really built a friendship with me and I always appreciate her sweet and giving personality, not to mention her crazy good DIY skills. I just love that she is so passionate about the blogging world and wants everyone to succeed which is why I also loved her book. If you haven’t had a chance to read it yet, do it!

For those of you that don’t know me, I am a 30-something executive in the financial services industry but I am also obsessed with all things home decor, fashion, travel, pretty much anything pretty and fun! Today I thought I would give you a little tour of our home and show you some of the DIY projects I have wrapped up recently.

We moved into our home about a year and a half ago and I am constantly working on one project or another to make the home better fit our style. I would best describe my style as casual beachy glam. I want our rooms to feel comfortable and relaxing with a splash of glam added into the spaces. I also like to have a bit of a beach vibe going on without being overstated or super theme-y. I thought it would be fun to share some of my latest room makeovers and favorite projects with you today so you can get a sense of our home and how I am gradually working to change the style so that it is more “us”. I pretty much always have a project {or ten} underway and am always working to remove the beige and blah feeling from some of the spaces in our home.
