Monthly calendars are awesome! Probably my favorite organizing tool EVER. I use them for everything. Here is just a handful of the ways that monthly calendar printables can be useful:
- listing appointments, meetings, and commitments for each month
- keeping track of children’s school events, activities, practices, and special days
- setting deadlines and planning details of short & long-term projects
- keeping track of workouts
- keeping track of a habit that I’m trying to establish
- writing a food log
- keeping track of medications that need to be taken
- writing down a favorite moment from each day of the year
- tracking a baby or child’s milestones
- making a reading plan or tracking how many minutes I’ve read each day
- creating an “acts of kindness” calendar
- making a schedule for all of the projects we want to complete in our home this year
- counting down to an important event
- managing my blog’s editorial calendar
- adding a calendar to your journal or notebook
Because I know how useful calendars can be, every month I share a set of free printable calendars so that we all have the tools we need to get organized and stay on track.

Dated January 2020 Calendar Pages
Horizontal, Sunday Start (January 2020)
This is probably the calendar I grab most often in my planning! I love the classic horizontal layout, and here in the US, it seems like a Sunday start to the week is most common.
This calendar is perfect for organizing all of your New Year’s resolutions! Grab it below!
Vertical, Sunday Start (January 2020)
If I’m going to using 3-ring binder to hold my calendar, I’ll often chose a vertical version so that I don’t have to be turning the binder back and forth constantly! (That gets old really fast, right??)
Because of the elongated shape of the boxes, vertical calendars are also great if you make a lot of lists or just have a lot of items on your schedule each day.
Horizontal, Monday Start (January 2020)
It seems like a Monday start to the week is most common outside of the US, so I wanted to be sure to offered a January calendar for our international readers too!
Monday start calendars are also great if you’re on a school schedule or planning for the traditional Monday-Friday work week. Plan out school projects, work events, collaborations, and more.
Vertical, Monday Start (January 2020)
If your week begins on Monday and you prefer the look of a vertical calendar, this January calendar is for you!
I’m always amazed at how much more I accomplish when I write down my tasks, and this calendar is perfect for exactly that. Pop it into your 3-ring binder and start planning!
