A Fireman and Policeman 3rd Birthday Party

Friends! How was your 4th?! I hope you had a wonderful looooooooooong weekend! We certainly had a lot to celebrate around here! We combined our Independence Day festivities with a little birthday party for baby C, who will be turning 3 later this month. My in-laws had already offered to host a little get-together for the holiday at their beautiful home, and they were gracious enough to let us crash the party with some birthday decorations and treats as well.

My Silhouette Cameo cutting machine made getting ready for this party SO easy, cutting everything from the flames for my burning building to the pieces of the banner and cake toppers.

Caleb has been dreaming about his birthday ever since Connor turned 5 in January, and he has gone through about 27 theme ideas in the past 6 months. 🙂 It finally came down to a tie between a Paw Patrol birthday and a Rescue Bots party, and since he couldn’t decide, we went with a fireman and policeman theme so we could incorporate both!

The little toys on the table (which were new to Caleb’s collection) lasted about 5 minutes before he pulled them down and started playing. Oh well! At least they were a hit!

And in honor of our policeman friends, we decided to go with a super simple donut cake! {Which was also great for mommy, since it required zero baking time! 😉 }

Remember the party favors I shared last week? They made an appearance, too, of course, and the kids couldn’t wait to dig into them and snag their treasures!

The Cs always request my baby blue punch for their parties, which for this occasion was appropriately renamed “Police Punch.”

Oh and we had some “Hose Water” too…

My sweet little birthday boy definitely enjoyed his special day. He loved spending time with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved watching Pap-pap set off little fireworks. And he definitely loved getting his hands on some new treasures!

I think this was the first year he was able to blow out the candles all by himself {though big brother was certainly around for backup!}, and he was so proud!

I guess since he’s almost 3, I should probably stop referring to him as “Baby C,” but really he’ll always be my baby, so I’ll probably keep calling him that for a while. {Which I bet he’ll be thrilled about once he hits high school… 😉 } I may be in denial about him growing up, but it is so fun to see his little personality blossom. He truly has the sweetest heart, and I am so very proud to be his mama. <3

Thanks so much for coming to Caleb’s fireman and policeman 3rd birthday party! Have a wonderful week!

  3. This is so cute, Abby!! And your little guys are adorable, too! Looks like a fun party. My daughter turns one in November, and even though it’s still months away, I’m getting excited to start planning for it and coming up with some cute decorations. However, I’m not so looking forward to her growing up SO quickly! Weren’t they just born yesterday?! Have a great week!

    What a fun party, Abby! Love the little details… The hose water, match sticks etc! I love throwing a theme party. Our last one was our son’s camping themed done (there’s a post on my blog). I’m sure your little guy loved it!
