So I thought that maybe, just maybe, we might have a kitchen reveal for you today. But it turns out that some last minute details took a little longer than we expected and we didn’t want to rush it, so I’m hoping that next week will be the big week! While Donnie has been hard at work building out the new space, I have had the equally difficult task of finding beautiful and affordable kitchen accessories to make it look cute! {I mean, it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it, right?! 😉 }

I have spent the last few months scouring the world wide web and every home store known to Pittsburgh to find just the right items for our new space, and what kind of blogger would I be if, after all of that extensive research, I didn’t share my fun findings with you?! I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite kitchen items that I’ve stumbled across along the way, and I hope you’ll love them as much as I do!

Let’s start with linens! I was especially excited about finding pretty kitchen towels because our old range didn’t have a handle to display them, and our new one does! Yay for seeing these pretties all the time!

The thing I probably get most giddy about in just about every room of our house is organization, of course! I searched far and wide for the perfect pieces to fit our space, and I ended up with the cute items below. I even personalized some of them with vinyl pantry labels, which you can see in this post.

I also love pretty little vessels. You never know when you’re going to need to house some flowers or fruit or cute little individual servings of your favorite dish! Clearly white was my color (non-color?) of choice for these… 🙂

Sometimes you jut need a pretty little touch. I love trays and cake stands and decorative elements that help add texture and layers to any space, including the kitchen.

  1. I visit Pittsburg at least once a year (visiting family) and I’m always looking for interesting places to shop. I was hoping you would feature some boutique shops in around Pittsburg. I can go to Target, Pier 1, etc online or in store any time. Do you have any one of a kind shop suggestions?

      Ooh I usually try to stick to the larger places in my posts since my readers are all over, but it would be fun to do a Pittsburgh-specific post sometime! The first ones that came to mind are Trax Farms (they have lots of plants, flowers, etc. but also have an amazing decor section, https://www.traxfarms.com/) and my friend just opened up an adorable little place in Sewickley called Bellwether, which is clothes and some home accessories (https://www.facebook.com/Bellwether-458224111051547/). This post also has some great ideas: https://www.keystoneedge.com/features/pittsburghhomedecor020614.aspx . I hope this helps! Have a great day, Dolly!

  2. Hi, Abby ~ I’m loving all of these accessories that you’ve rounded up! I have to grab a couple of those striped kitchen towels from World Market. They make great heavy-duty napkins, too! I have similar berry and bread baskets, and I love them. We use them all the time! And that cutting board is beautiful and has such a unique shape. Definitely adding that to the shopping list. I can’t wait to see your kitchen reveal! Good luck with all of the finishing touches!

    Since they’re affordable, I can buy all of them, right?! I can’t wait to see your kitchen reveal. I know how much hard work goes into these things!

      Lol! Sarena, you are a girl after my own heart– my thoughts exactly! 😉 Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

  4. Hi Abby! This post is perfect timing for me because we are gutting our kitchen (whole house renovation, actually) and are to the point where I need to start decorating…curtains, cute kitchen knick-knacks that show off my personality, “real” dishes (not combined his and hers from our previous lives!) and general things for the walls. I am finding the decorating to be harder that the reno! What to pick? Is it too theme-y? Does this look stupid? I am over-thinking it to DEATH! Thanks for all of these cute ideas, I can’t wait to start shopping! xoxo, Emme.
