My Favorite Kids’ Beds- High/Low

Welcome to week 2 of the One Room Challenge! If you missed last week’s post, I’m joining a group of other bloggers who are making over a room in their home in just six weeks, hosted by Linda at Calling It Home. I am tackling my boys’ shared room, giving it a “Let’s Go Adventuring!” theme, and you can see our big plans for it here.

Since we just moved into our house, we started with a blank slate in this room! Here’s what it looked like when we moved in:

Love this gorgeous home! It's new construction, a Ryan Homes Palermo, and I can't wait to see how she decorates it. Click through to the post to see the full tour!

Obviously one of the first things my boys were going to need were beds. They had specifically requested side by side beds rather than the bunk beds they had in their old room (which also made sense to me because it will be easier if they ever decide they want their own rooms), so we gave away the bunk beds and I went on a search for the perfect pieces for the Cs’ new space.

I think I may have looked at just about every twin bed on the internet during my search, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you today.

My Favorite Kids’ Beds

Now we are always trying to be budget conscious around here, so not only did I find some super cute kids’ beds, but I also am sharing both a higher and lower end version of each type so there truly is something for every budget. Want to see?

There are seriously so many cute kids’ beds out there! I loved looking around and exploring all of the options. Eventually it came down to which choice seemed most “manly” (Connor’s #1 criteria 😉 ) and fit well with the overall look we were going for in the boys’ space. Can you guess which one we chose?

We ended up going with option H, which is the Ladiville Panel Bed by Signature Design by Ashley. I think Caleb approves! 🙂 This option fit perfectly with the look I was going for and with our budget. I always get a little nervous when I order a piece with a wood finish because I’m never sure if I’ll like the color of the wood in person, but these beds were exactly what I was hoping for in the Cs’ room!

Two of them fit nicely in the space, and after we put them in place I really started getting excited about choosing bedding, art, and accessories to coordinate.

It’s a little hard to tell, but we’ve already painted the walls gray (it was nice to finally have one room that wasn’t stark white!), and hopefully next week I’ll be able to share more about the painting process and a cute accent we’re adding to the walls with paint!
