We’re nearing the end of my guest post series– only a few more to go, but boy are they good ones! Today I’m thrilled to introduce you to my friend Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof. I love Jenna’s bold style and no-holds-barred designs, and I was so excited to be able to meet her in person last month at the Haven blogging conference in Atlanta! We may have even gotten a little silly in the Moen kitchen together…
Jenna is sharing some of the awesome transformations she’s done on her blog, and believe me, they are GOOD. I’ll stop talking now so she can get to it! 😉
Hi guys!! I’m Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof.
I blog about DIY projects, creating chic décor from junk, random home decor ideas, and stories about chocolate milk, living with two guys, and other things that life throws at you. When I’m not trying to keep my kid out of the spray paint or making sure Grunt Labor (the husband) gets fed dinner, I can be found with a paintbrush in one hand and a cheap beer in the other. If you are buying though, I’ll have a Cosmo. Or two.
To give you a little taste of what its like at my blog, I thought I would share some of my favorite projects.
First off, my kitchen island.
I am a huge furniture makeover fanatic. I love turning something old and dated into something stylish.
I actually picked up this chair on the side of the road. I brought it home, gave it some paint, and re-upholstery and it was new again. See the full makeover here.
Right now, I’m in the midst of adding some color and love to my screened-in porch.
I’m also a huge fan of quick, easy, and cheap crafts, which is what my Fifteen on Friday series is all about.
I made these polka dot placemats in under 15 minutes for less than $15.
One of my favorite crafts I’ve done was actually for my daughter’s birthday party.
I’ve done one of these easy party backgrounds for my daughter’s birthday for the last two years. I’ve also used one to add color to my back porch.
Last, but my most favorite, my home tour.
Grunt Labor and I bought our beloved foreclosure three years ago and haven’t stopped working on it since. The major overhauls are done, but I’m tweaking things everyday. The latest tour is here.
If you guys liked this little tease, I would love to have you visit me at Rain on a Tin Roof .
