Eeeeeek!! It’s Christmas home tour day! This is one of my favorite posts of the entire year! I have been decorating up a storm over the past few weeks, and I can’t wait to invite you all in to see!

Per usual, I went a little overboard with decorating and pictures, so I have actually broken up my tour into two parts. 🙂 Today we will be touring the main living area of our home, which includes our dining room, living room, and the Cs’ toy area, which currently houses our Christmas tree!

C’mon in!

Last year I totally left red out of my Christmas color scheme, and I have to admit– I missed it! So this year I made up for it… red everywhere! I went for a classic Christmas look that feels cozy and home-y to celebrate the season.

Along with red, you’ll also see a lot of plaid throughout my tour– from the napkins to the pillows to the gift wrap– keeping with my classic Christmas theme.

I went with a super simple centerpiece for our table, with white candles on a gold tray and a berry garland to bring in a little more red.

I added a small box with some little treats at each place setting to hold the place card and double as a small favor for guests– so easy, and everybody loves getting a little parting gift!

My dining room hutch is one of the first things I decorate each season, and this holiday was no exception. All of the red just pops off the white background, and the metallic touches add some holiday sparkle. The felt ball garland from Home Decorators collection tops everything off perfectly!

The beautiful terrarium (which comes in a set of three) is also from Home Decorators Collection, though they are currently out of stock. I’m hoping they get them back because they’re absolutely stunning!

I've always wanted to style my dining room hutch for different holidays but wasn't sure how-- this post gives so many great ideas and makes it simple! My hutch is going to look beautiful for Christmas! Click through for so many awesome ideas! | JustAGirlAndHerBlog.com

Right off the dining room is our living room, which is also looking ready for the holiday…

I am just a smidge obsessed with throw pillows, so I loaded our couch with them. The Cs love to dive into them and snuggle up!

I kept our coffee table sweet and simple with a little hexagon tray, a sunburst frame, and some wrapped gifts.

Our TV stand is usually a challenge to decorate because I have to find “short” decor so I don’t block the screen. {I’m not sure why Donnie can’t watch the Steelers games with a bunch of cute tchotchkes sitting in front of it, but for some reason that bugs him… 😉 } This year, though, I found the perfect thing!

How cute are those little crackle hurricanes?! And they are the perfect size too! I couldn’t believe it! I should even get bonus points because they’re gold to match the Steelers, amiright? 😉

Across the room from the living area is the Cs’ toys space. During the holidays we move a bunch of their stuff up to their room to make way for the tree and other decorations!

Our tree is full of sparkly metallic ornaments and wrapped in red velvet ribbon… I even found two mini matching trees to sit on top of the toy shelf! Oh, and of course more plaid!

We don’t have a mantel, so last year I made a little stocking holder for our family, and it hangs over on this side of the room as well. You can also probably spot our floating shelves peeking into the shot.

The Cs are loving our buddy the deer– we’ve been calling him the newest addition to our family. 🙂 I might have to find a permanent spot for him once the holidays are over or they’ll miss him!

  27. Oohh, your home looks amazing!! 🙂 I love the classics – read, white, green maybe a pinch of gold or some sparkle.. Those are the coziest colours and why not go over the top using them in Christmas decorations? I looove classical Christmas themes because Christmas is all about traditions and classics are almost as tradition, never going out of style and always making the right Christmas feeling. 🙂
