Fun Storage Idea: Magazine Roll-Ups {House by Hoff}

Oh what a wonderful Wednesday it is today! As I am still recovering from the surgery I had back in July, I am so blessed to have the most amazing and talented friends who have been willing to guest post for me over the past few weeks. {Hey, they’ve been so good, you might not ever want me back! 😉 }

I have absolutely loved getting to know April from House by Hoff over the past year or so. Not only is she super sweet, but she also is a rockstar photographer and amazing decorator– she makes it look easy! April was another one of my blog friends I had the pleasure of meeting at Haven, and it was so fun to finally be able to connect in person!

April is here today with a fun storage idea that made me wonder, “Why didn’t I think of that?!” It’s simple and cute and… well, I’ll just let her tell it!

Hello, Just a Girl and Her Blog readers!

I’m April, and I blog over at House by Hoff about my latest projects, photography, parties, decorating, etc.

I have a super-easy magazine storage idea to share with you today….Magazine Roll-Ups!

Magazine Roll Ups | House by Hoff for Just a Girl and Her Blog

This is going to be a pretty detailed tutorial, so you might want to get out a pen and paper to take notes.

Are you ready? Ok, good.

First grab all of your old magazine piles {you know you have them}!

Next, roll them up.

Last, tie them up with some twine, pretty yarn, {or, in this case, old shoe strings}.

I love how they look in a wire basket! You can still see all of the bright, pretty colors!

Wouldn’t this look great on a shelf or under a bench, or next to the couch….

Easy, fun and cute!

{Just how I like my projects!}

I’d love to have you over at House by Hoff soon!

I always appreciate any social media love! 😉

Have a great day!

  6. What a cute and easy project! I have a magazine rack, but I also have a HUGE box of mags that just won’t fit in the rack 🙁 Now I know what to do with them! Thanks so much! Also, where is that wire basket from? I LOVE IT.

    I saw this on google+ and immediately stopped over. I’m sharing with all of my followers, too. I love home decorating and have 100s of mags, most of which are neatly stacked on an Arhaus wooden bench but I have more and more coming in all the time, right? I’m doing this and I’m sharing you awesome idea via all my social media, too. Love it!!

    Thanks!!

    That’s such a great idea, I currently have a really ugly 1980’s era magazine holder, I never though to roll them up, it gives me a lot more options. Thanks for the tip!

    April, I love this idea! My dad works in construction and he stores his blueprints rolled in a basket just like this – I never thought to store magazines this way! What a creative storage option. Thanks for sharing!
