Favorite Plaid Bedding Options for Boys’ Bedrooms

I can’t believe we’re nearing the end of the One Room Challenge– the big reveal is next week! If you’re just catching up, we are currently in the midst of decorating my boys’ shared bedroom for the One Room Challenge, an event where bloggers are given 6 weeks to do a full room makeover, hosted by Linda from Calling It Home. So far I’ve shared a mood board, talked about the beds we chose, painted a fun stripe around the room, and organized the closet.

We are getting SO close.

Today I wanted to talk about one essential that every bedroom needs– bedding! Connor (age 7) and I looked at nearly every comforter on the entire internet (or at least it felt like we did…), and the one thing that he was absolutely positive that he wanted was plaid.

I like the way that boy thinks. 😉

Plaid is not only an excellent choice for our “Let’s Go Adventuring!” themed kid bedroom, though. Depending on the type you pick, it could look nautical, preppy, outdoorsy, or make the perfect accent for the holidays! And since the calendar recently flipped to November and everyone suddenly has Christmas on the brain, I thought this would be the perfect week to share the most favorite plaid bedding options that Connor and I found during our search.

I love 4 and 15 but all of them are beautiful! I love plaid SO much… it’s probably my Catholic schoolgirl upbringing. ;o)

  4. Carol Gomes says:

I like 15 because while any plaid will grow with them, this would extend as a guestroom (no more kids at home).
