Crushing On: Gold Polka Dots

Gold Polka Dots Title

It seems I’ve caught a bit of the glam bug lately. Ever since I created my gold cake stand organizer and glam fall wreath, I just can’t seem to get enough of metallics, jewels, sparkle, and shine! I know I’m not alone. It doesn’t take much perusing around blogland to find hints of gold, and one trend that I particularly love is the gold polka dots I’m seeing anywhere and everywhere! I thought you might enjoy them too, so I’ve rounded up 15 of my favorite gold polka dot projects from around the blogosphere.

One of the first projects that got me exited about gold polka dots was the polka-dotted ceiling Carmel created in her daughter’s room over at Our Fifth House.

Our Fifth House

Not only do they look great on ceilings, but they’re fabulous on walls as well.

House for Five

Deme gave her office closet a touch of glamour over at House for Five.

The Homes I Have Made

And I love how Megan’s dots look like they’re falling down the wall at The Homes I Have Made.

A Thoughtful Place

Courtney of A Thoughtful Place even created some faux gold polka dot wallpaper to dress up a linen cabinet.

But it’s not all walls and ceilings! Gold polka dots are being used to prettify smaller decor items as well. Flowers are taken to a whole new level of gorgeous when placed in gold dotted vases…

Lilikoi Joy

…like these ones from Sharon of Lilikoi Joy

Hi Sugarplum!

and this one by Hi Sugarplum‘s Miss Cassie.

Really, bloggers are looking for any excuse to add a little gold dot love to their home!

My Cup Runneth Over

Cheryl of My Cup Runneth Over gets into the action with a gold dot and monogrammed mug. {Gold dots AND a monogram?! I think I just died and went to heaven! ;)}

Oleander and Palm2

And Cheryl’s mug would look so pretty sitting atop Jeran’s gold dot burlap coasters over at Oleander and Palm.

Brunch at Saks

I am determined to create my own version of this lovely gold dot art from Brunch at Saks.

Oleander and Palm

Jeran of Oleander and Palm is back with a lovely lamp shade to match the gold goodness in her sheets. {Bonus points for double triple use of gold polka dots!}

The Paper Mama

It works for furniture, too– Chelsey added gold dots to a chair over at The Paper Mama!

And let’s not forget about all of the beautiful party and holiday decor that has recently been sprinkled by the gold dot fairy:

Jones Design Company

Emily of Jones Design Company incorporated gold dots into her daughter’s birthday party with this darling bunting banner.

Ruffled Blog

And I am totally and utterly in love with this gorgeous gold garland, featured on Ruffled with design by Shannon of Parties and Potty Training and photos by Jasmine Nicole Photography.

A Delightful Place to Dwell

How cute are these gold-ified pumpkins by Kayla at K.R. Dixon Designs?! So perfect for fall!

Hi Sugarplum2

And it doesn’t get any simpler than these DIY Christmas ornaments by Cassie of Hi Sugarplum!

So much gold polka-dotted gorgeousness all in one place, I don’t even know if I can handle it! Now excuse me while I go gold-ify something! 😀

Do you love all of the gold polka dots going on everywhere? What trend are you crushing on lately?

I’m a big fan of these posts where you give lots of ideas under one umbrella idea. Who are these people with amazing homes, beautiful pictures, and awesome crafts? If you stuck one of these beauts in my apartment, it would probably turn folks away from gold dots. Pretty pretty ideas, nonetheless!

Found you through the Let’s Get Social party. About to read your magnetic race car post. 🙂
